Among the members of the class in attendance at the Dartmouth Alumni Association banquet at the Copley Plaza in Boston on March 7 were Al Priddy, who acted as toastmaster and was indeed the spark plug of the occasion. The others, who were less conspicuous, included Ashley St. Clair, Bill Huntress, Howard Wing, Wy Fuller, Jack Mason, String Downing, Duke Sullivan, Rus Rice, Norvie Milmore, Shrimp Williams, Dale Barker, Kike Richardson, Tap Taplin, representing Vermont, and Dave Davison, representing New Hampshire. Cioughie had with him as his guest Harold G. Woodman of Somerville, a friend of the Somerville delegation at Dartmouth in 1915, whose son, Richard Woodman, is now a member of the class of 1938-
Plans for the 20th reunion have progressed a great deal daring the past thirty days. General Chairman Kell Rose, has assigned the various committee members as follows: dormitory, Jack Bowler and Fletch Low; costumes, Al Priddy and Dale Barker: class dinner, Ray King and Russ Livermore; class picnic, Tap Taplin. The secretary and treasurer of the class will act as secretary and treasurer of the reunion committee. From the first 100 replies to the questionnaire sent out by the class secretary, 55 have signified their intention definitely of attending the reunion in June; 24 are in doubt, but have stated that they are coming if possible; 21 have stated that they will be unable to attend. From these early replies it is clearly indicated that at least the attendance will be all that can be expected. The committee can be relied upon to do the rest.
May and Harold Martin are hopeful that they will be able to take in the reunion again. Mart has suggested that if the committee could regulate the strawberry season by moving it ahead a week or two there would be no doubt of his attendance at the reunion. This may mean the appointment of another committee by Chairman Kell.
Among the disappointments already received with reference to the attendance at the reunion is a definite "No" from Casey Tones. He has a good excuse, however, in that he will be attending the Shrine convention in Washington, D. C„ where his new march, "Hot Sands," dedicated to the Shrine, will no doubt be a feature on the musical program.
In case you have some doubt as to whether you wish to attend the reunion you may be encouraged after reading the following list of those who have already definitely stated they will be present: Sheldon, Fitts, Norwood, Cobleigh, Noyes, Clark, St. Clair, Edgerton, Atwood, Taplin, Mullin, Low, Clough, Griffin, Sargent, Child, Livermore, Adams, Burnett, Davison, Luddy, D.
