President To Go South

President Hopkins and Coach Earl Blaik will journey to Atlanta, Georgia, the first week in April to be guests of honor at a week-end gathering of Dartmouth alumni from all over the South on April 5-7. A banquet at the Biltmore on Saturday night will be the highlight of the "Dartmouth in Dixie" program, which includes a golf tournament and a meeting of President Hopkins and southern business leaders at a luncheon on Friday. Coach Blaik is scheduled to present the Dartmouth Club of Georgia football cup to the state high school champions on Friday, April 5, and will meet with some of the South's football leaders during his visit to Atlanta.

Returning north, President Hopkins and Coach Blaik will stop off in Washington, D. C., to attend the annual banquet of District of Columbia alumni on Monday evening, April 8.

Sidney C. Hayward '26, secretary of the College, will also speak before alumni groups early in April, appearing in Des Moines on April 1, Omaha on April 2, Kansas City, Mo., on April 3, and St. Louis on April 4. Alumni dinners will be held in the first three cities and a luncheon meeting in St. Louis.

Daniel P. Hatch Jr. '28, comptroller of the Dartmouth Outing Club, spoke at an alumni dinner in Grand Rapids, Mich., on March 30, and on April 3 he will speak at the regular Tuesday luncheon of the Dartmouth Club of Detroit. During the last week in March, Mr. Hatch accompanied by Mr. Hayward to the regular Wednesday luncheon of the Dartmouth Club of Chicago on March 27, and to alumni dinners in Milwaukee and Minneapolis on March 28 and 29.
