Robert Frost's doctor urges him to find an occupation that won't keep him cooped up. Frost starts a chicken farm.

"There is no reason why Dartmouth men can't all become turkey boosters," declares Harold Naramore '14A. His Wah-Hoo-Wah turkey farm sells 5,000 birds, and all profits are donated to the College.

Dartmouth College reprints 11 long-forgotten essays on chicken breeding. The book, entitled Robert Frost: Farm-Poultryman, is "the story of Robert Frost's career as a breeder and fancier of hens."

In recognition of his deft handling of such famous film fowl as Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, and Daffy Duck, director Chuck Jones is honored by the Dartmouth Film Society.

When a peacock that is a cast member of the Japanese dance troupe Sankai Juku arrives in Hanover with a serious lack of feathers, the Hopkins Center successfully searches the Upper Valley for an understudy.

The most popular dish on campus is chicken fingers.

Domestic ducks are found on Occom Pond during the winter. College groundskeepers and local residents round up the fugitives.

Dartmouth's Dining Services estimates that it will serve 65,000 pounds of chicken during the year.
Donald Duck didn't go to Dartmouth, but his relatives have had an influence on the place beyond the dining hall.
