Coming within eight of its 1934 attendance record of 849, the American Psychological Association held its 44th annuameeting at Dartmouth from September 2 to 5. Eight dormitories were opened to house the visiting psychologists, and Dartmouth, Webster, McNutt, Silsby and Carpenter Halls were made available for the various sessions held during the four days. Commons was also opened to relieve the pressure on local restaurants. Arrangements in Hanover were directed by Professor Charles L. Stone '17, a member of the executive committee of the Association.

The group in attendance at the meeting included many prominent psychologists from this country and abroad, among them 11 past presidents of the Association. Thirteen of the psychologists present were Dartmouth graduates: R. M. Elliott 'lO (Minnesota), H. E. Burtt 'll (Ohio State), C. L. Stone 'l7 (Dartmouth), C. N. Allen '24 (Dartmouth), R. W. Husband '26 (Wisconsin), W. A. Hunt '2B (Connecticut College for Women), A. H. Cantril '2B (Princeton), L. W. Doob '29 (Yale), H. S. Odbert '3O (Dartmouth), J. H. Taylor '3O (Wittenberg), C. F. Willey '32 (Norwich), L. A. Riggs '33 (National Research Fellow), and L. C. Mead '36 (Rochester). Among former members of the Dartmouth Taculty were M. V. Bingham, A. R. Gilliland, H. E. Israel, G. W. Hartmann, W. A. Hunt, M. N. Crook, and G. W. Allport.

Of the 147 papers presented during the meeting, 41 dealt with the physical and physiological aspects of the field, 33 with educational topics, whereas only 17 concerned purely the social character of mentality and only 12 purely the abnormal aspects in the field.
