IT HAS BEEN exceedingly invigorating to those of us in the Department to find ball College enthusiasm for touch fooball this fall transcends that of any previous year. When all teams appeared with regular playing members, plus numerous reserves, and the spectators swelled at times into the hundreds—we feel that we can make this assertion with pride. The winner of the fraternity league was Beta Theta Pi, the winner of the dormitory league was College Hall, the winner of the class league was 1942, and the winner of the graduate school league was Tuck 11. After some very exciting and hotly contested playoffs, the Betas emerged with the College Champion- ship. Their team play was as precise, efficient, and coordinated as ever a touch football team's has been. The enforcement of certain blocking rules this season tended to disrupt the play of many teams, but the Betas overcame this by a fast-breaking, ball-juggling offense that baffled opponents.

The individual skills tournament was readjusted this year to fraternity and dormitory individual skills. The Kappa Sigs won for the fraternities due to the remarkable kicking of J. Troster '43. For the dormitories Massachusettes Hall won, Donald Weir '44 taking the honors.

The Psi U's defeated the Betas in the golf tournament.

Volley-ball has now started and the preliminaries are well under way. . basketball will begin in the very near future.... the Class of '44 deserves credit for the enthusiasm with which it has caught on to the spirit of Intramural sports and entered into them. . . each year finds an increase in the number of students participating.
