Dan Ruggles is sitting as special justice in some of the district courts in Metropolitan Boston at present Reynolds canceled his trip abroad this summer in order to utilize his financial and physical resources in the political campaign—a wise decision, as his plans had included a month's motor trip through Spain. He expects to go abroad after the election John McDonald was in Hanover recently, and entered his son John in the class of 1940 Pringle says he was beaten on coming to our last reunion, but intends to be at the next one even if he comes in a wheel-chair. He spent the summer at his cottage at Southport, Me Billy Morgan inaugurated the Fiftieth Reunion of his class at Fryeburg Academy and then had to forego the pleasure of attending, as he was compelled to go to England on a business trip Gerould and wife while visiting in Wellesley recently saw the Fred Woods family. Gerould says Mac's boy will room at Crosby near his office. . . . . Caswell plans to spend the winter in Florida Beebee writes that his wife is an invalid. They live in Marshfield, Wis Hilton has passed some of September at his farm at North Tewksbury. As chairman of the board of Ginn & Co., however, he is kept pretty busy. He appears as well as ever. His daughter Katherine and her husband, John Hodgdon Bradley, will spend the winter at the farm. Mr. Bradley will continue his studies at Harvard His article in the October Harper's Magazine entitled "Is man an absurdity? ' like his other writings, is well worth reading. He is a brilliant student and clever writer.
