I called on John F. McDonald recently, and although he was out I learned that he has recovered very nicely from his recent operation. Fred Woods ditto. Former Senator Moses was unable to entertain and electrify G. O. P. audiences in the last campaign, as his physician ordered him to take a complete rest following his recent treatment at Johns Hopkins. E. N. Shirley writes that his Cincinnati address has been changed to 817 Findley St.
Dr. Perry Boynton writes an interesting letter, but says there is nothing startling to report from the New York '90 men. Bugbee writes that he has already engaged quarters for our 45th reunion, and he and Gerould will welcome us back to Hanover with open arms.
George Mills is back permanently in Bennington, Vt., which seems to be a wise move now that a good Dartmouth man is governor of the state. Mills lived there si years before going to Chicago in 1925. He is now taking ad interim pastorates, and is just now supplying the church in Dalton, Mass., so that he is not fully retired from the ministry. He is looking forward to our reunion next June. I don't think he has missed one yet.
Beebe has gone South with the birds, locating in Lake Worth, Fla., for the winter. Mrs. Beebe is with him. They are just loafing around these days. Good judgment to quit Wisconsin for Florida about this time of year. Have an interesting letter from Jimmie Reynolds, but it will keep until next month.
Mrs. Hardy and myself spent a week-end recently in Amherst. The boys in one of the fraternities cordially invited us over to their Sunday night sing. There were about a hundred Amherst men and Smith girls present, and their college songs took us back over the years to our college days.
