W. O. Smith was re-elected headmaster of the Keene High School, but resigned, following a service of 43 years as a high school principal in the state of New Hampshire. In the fall he substituted for the principal of the Laconia High School, who was ill. At present he is living in Moodus, Conn., where Mrs. Smith is a teacher in the high school.
On a recent trip to New York the Secretary had the pleasure of a call on Henry D. Whitney, who is now living at the Somerset, 150 West 47th St., New York.
