According to the revised sections of the Alumni Council constitution having to do with nominations, the secretaries of all approved alumni clubs and associations have been notified that nominations to the Council must be made not later than March 10. Although the method of electing men to the Council remains the same, namely by direct mail ballot, the nominations for places will -be made again this year by alumni clubs in the several districts. A provision of the constitution also allows for any group of 100 or more alumni to make nominations, as explained below.
In the New England States district, Carl F. Woods '04 of Boston, now president of the Council, completes his second term of office. Mr. Woods is not eligible for reelection.
In the Middle Atlantic States district, Edwin R. Bartlett '04 of Niagara Falls, N. Y., completes his second term of office and is not eligible for reelection.
In the Central States district, Louis E. Leverone 'O4 of Chicago will complete his first term of office in June and he is therefore eligible for reelection from this district.
In the Middlewestern States district, Charles W. McKenzie '20 of St. Louis will complete his first term of office and is therefore eligible for reelection.
In the Southern States district, William A. Green Jr. '14 of Dallas will complete his first term of one year as a member from this district. He is eligible for reelection to a second term of three years.
In the Rocky Mountain and Pacific States district, Chauncey B. Baxter '10 of Tacoma will complete in June his first term and is therefore eligible for reelection.
According to Article V, Section 3, of the Alumni Council constitution, nominations beyond those submitted by approved alumni clubs may be made as follows:
The Secretary of the General Associationof Alumni shall publish in the ALUMNIMAGAZINE not later than the February issuea statement of the vacancies, if any, to befilled the ensuing July i. In addition to themethod of making nominations throughlocal alumni clubs and associations as explained above, it will be possible for anygroup of 100 alumni qualified to vote in theAlumni Council election of that year topetition the Secretary in favor of a properlyqualified nominee, the petition to carry theendorsement of the candidate whose namewill then appear on the election ballot ofthat district. Such nominations must be received by the Secretary of the General Association not later than April 10.
