THE JANUARY turnout of the Club had class. It was held at the local City Hall where the Honorable George F. Hetfield '31, our president .... Dartmouth athlete and world traveler (while at College). .... Remember the foundering of The Tahiti off Tahiti in 1930 Well, George did that one without an overcut. We helped the citizens swear him in as a Councilman. He received flowers and the Mayor's committee welcomed us with cigars, fruit punch, bonbons, and fancy biscuits. Vice President Frank H. Blatz '31 discovered why vice presidents are elected, and had to lead us democrats in and out among those republicans. Those having the time adjourned to the Y. M. C. A. reception across the street and enjoyed the Stanford-S. M. U. game over the radio. Our next meeting will be Dartmouth Night, Feb. 14, when an election of officers will take place. —JOHN T. COGGINS '11.
