On Thursday, February 20, the Secretary was pursuing the duties of his calling in Lowell, Mass. One of the school principals of the city informed me that my good friend Dr. E. O. Tabor was in St. Joseph's Hospital, recovering from an attack of appendicitis. So I went and had a pleasant call on the star pitcher of former days and now a well known doctor of Lowell. His room was filled with valentines that the children from the Lowell schools had sent, for Ed Tabor is very popular with the school children and has been a school physician for years. His room was also filled with beautiful flowers, for he has made many friends in Lowell through his faiths ful and efficient work as a physician.

At the annual meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston there were four '98 men present, namely, Joe Bartlett, Buck Chandler, Denis Crowley, and the Secretary. Joe Bartlett was invited to sit at the head table and added distinction to that group of fine-looking alumni and guests. Dr. Lewis Perry, principal of hillips Exeter Academy, was one of the guest speakers. Dr. Perry is a graduate of Williams in the class of 1898 and was on varsity baseball team. He referred in a commendatory way to the '9B Dartmouth aseball team and especially mentioned "Indian" Macandrew for his fine playing. I am sorry to report that the "Indian" has not been so well this winter, but we all hope that with the coming Of the warm weather his usual robust health will return.

On Wednesday, February 12, in the Brooklyn Academy of Music the Honorable Ernest Paris Seelman, vice-chairman of the Brooklyn College Administrative Committee, presided at the seventh commencement exercises of the college.

The Secretary is often in Lowell, Mass., and hears on all sides that no citizen has been more missed than our whole-souled and kind-spirited classmate, Bob Marden.

The class of '98 up! Buck Chandler is a grandfather. Who would have thought it? Joan Burgess Bourne was born October 31 to Buck's daughter Catherine, living in Newton Highlands.

Secretary, 57 Grove Hill Ave., Newtonville, Mass.
