Dartmouth's intramural champions emerged victorious in all three branches of sport in the third annual extra-mural meet with Harvard on February 29. The Green boxers took four of the five ring events and drew the fifth: the wrestlers won two of their three matches; and the Russell Sage championship five defeated Lowell House by a 35-15 score. In the boxing, Johnny Wood, Chuck O'Connor and Whitey Isbrandtsen turned in impressive wins, while Bruce Gillie fought to a draw. Wrestling victories were registered by Don Boyle and Jack Harmon.
Middle Fayerweather won the College hockey championship by downing Sigma Chi in the play-off after winning over Middle Massachusetts in the final of the dormitory league. Sigma Chi captured the fraternity championship by defeating Delta Kappa Epsilon in the final.
A second College title went to a dormitory when Russell Sage defeated Psi Upsilon in the basketball play-off. With the touch football championship also to its credit, Russell Sage seems well on its way toward winning its second consecutive all- year dormitory trophy. Russell Sage is defending champion in volley ball, which is now getting under way together with swimming and baseball.
The fraternity squash title has been captured by Sigma Chi, the three-man team of John Nelson, Dick Brierley and Bob Reeves going through the tournament without the loss of a game. Sigma Chi defeated Zeta Psi in the final match.
