INTER-CLASS TRACK MEET WON BY FRESHMEN

The annual fall inter-class track meet was held in Alumni Gymnasium October 3 and 5, the class of 1929 winning with a point score of 54½, the class of 1928 second with 4½ points, the class of 1927 with 31 points and the class of 1926 in an inglorious place with 6 points.

Three sophomores, B. W. Brown, A. R. Gow, and S. C. Wright won their numerals during the meet.

The winners of events were: 60-yard dash, A. A. Cooley '29; 220-yard dash, A. B. Mc- Clure '27; 440-yard dash, G. Swope '29; 880- yard run, K. Auer '27; two-mile run, R. Dalrymple '27; 60-yard high hurdles, E. M. Wells '28; 60-yard low hurdles, A. F. Fellerose '29.

Shot-put, R. M. Edgar '28; pole-vault, L. C. Gore '27 and H. V. Curll '28 tied; running broad jump, W. T. Hetfield '29; high jump, F. L. Manard '29.

Discus—Won by S. C. Wright '28, 102 feet; G. Shaeffer '29, second; R. Johnson '29, third. Twelve-pound hammer throw, won by B. W. Brown '28, 117 feet; H. A. Higgins '29, second. Javelin, won. by A. R. Gow '28, 147 feet, 6 inches; H. O. Morse '28, second; J. F. Connolly '28, third.
