President Hopkins will be guest of honor and principal speaker at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia on April 17. This is the only alumni engagement of the spring for President Hopkins, who has recently returned from a southern trip taken to cure a persistent attack of laryngitis.
Other College representatives at alumni dinners during April will be Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23 and Professor Russell R. Larmon '19. Following five engagements during the last week of March, Dean Neidlinger will speak before the Chicago alumni on April 2 and at Buffalo before the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Western New York on April 3.
Professor Larmon's tour will take him as far west as the Pacific Coast. Following appearances in Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Spokane during the last week of March, he will attend alumni dinners in Seattle on April 1, Portland on April 3, Los Angeles on April 7, San Francisco on April 10, Denver on April 17, and Chicago on April 22. Professor Larmon has been chairman of the special committee appointed by President Hopkins to study fraternities and social life at Dartmouth. The committee's report, following a year and a half of study, is expected to appear during April.
