Dr. Ernest Howard Lines 'B2, honorary member of 1912, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sargent H. Wellman, in Topsfield, Mass., on April 17. Dr. Lines was known to us as the father of our
"Rainey" Lines, who passed away in France in 1916 during his service with the American Ambulance Service. In 1923 on the occasion of the Tenth Reunion o£ our class and the Fortieth Reunion of 1882, Dr. Lines was made an honorary member of 1912. Many of our classmates have expressed their appreciation of the many courtesies extended to them by Dr. Lines and his family during their visits to France, where he was located until 1920. Returning to this country, Dr. Lines was chief medical director of the New York Life Insurance Cos. until his retirement in 1934. Our class was represented at the funeral services by Bug Knight and a floral piece arranged for, as an expression of our condolences to the family of Dr. Lines. Conrad E. Snow served as an usher at the services.
Some of the good brothers—Les Snow, Ray Cabot, Bud Hoban, Stan Weld, Jack Fox, and others—are expressing impatience in not having heard from a reunion committee. There will be such a committee within the next thirty days, and it will be such as will cover the makings of the best TWENTY-FIFTH ever seen in Hanover. Hanover committeemen will be in work by June I—this year.
