OUR LAST meeting held in May was a memorable one. Twenty members with thirty guests gathered about the festive board. From the Washington Alumni Association came President F. Sterling Wilson '16, A. B. Hastings '04, and Edward Stafford '11. The guest list was headed by the genial and scholarly President of Johns Hopkins University, Isaiah Bowman, who spoke in an informal and very interesting way on "Forecasting What a Democracy Will Do." After that President Colton called on the members, one by one, to introduce their guests, who each got up and made his little speech, a feature which added greatly to the interest and pleasure of the gathering. Finally officers for the coming season were expeditiously elected: president, John F. Thompson '29; vice president, F. Jordan McCarthy '26; vice president, in charge of programs, entertainment and arrangements, Robert C. Hazard '29; treasurer, A. Rudolph Stewart '19; secretary (as before), H. R. H. 'OO. We are sorry to lose John Baxter '12, who has gone to West Hartford, Conn., and Marshall Lombard '20, who has been transferred to the Western Electric plant at Kearny, N. J., but we also expect some new recruits. If any of you Dartmouth men come to Baltimore, whether as transients or as residents, don't fail to make yourselves known to us for you will be very welcome.
