Leave of Absence

Sixteen members of the Dartmouth faculty have relinquished classroom duties for second-semester leave of absence, while eight members have returned to Hanover after leave during the first semester of the academic year.

Those on leave at present are Frank M. Anderson, professor of History; John H. Gerould '90, professor of Biology; Everett W. Goodhue '00, professor of Economics; Ashley K. Hardy '94, professor of German; Theodore F. Karwoski, professor of Psychology; Russell R. Larmon '19, professor of Administration; James D. McCallum, professor of English; Leonard B. McWhood, professor of Music; Shirley G. Patterson, professor of the Romance Languages; James P. Poole, professor of Biology; Andrew J. Scarlett Jr. '10, professor of Chemistry; Leon Verriest, professor of French; Sidney Cox, assistant professor of English; George L. Frost '21, assistant professor of English; Albert W. Frey '20, assistant professor of Marketing at the Tuck School; and Ramon Guthrie, assistant professor of French.

Faculty members back from first-semester leave are: James W. Goldthwait, professor of Geology; Ray V. Leffler, professor of Economics; A. Howard Meneely, professor of History; Frederick S. Page '13, professor of Biology; James A. Winans, professor of Public Speaking; J. Milton McDaniel, assistant professor of Economics; Elliott A. White 'is, assistant professor of English; and George W. Woodworth, assistant professor of Banking and Statistics at the Tuck School.
