As a traditional feature of the Dartmouth Night ceremonies in Webster Hall on February 26, Dean Emeritus Laycock read telegraphic greetings from alumni of the College in 45 different cities in this country and abroad. Among the most distant were those from London and Cambridge, England; Paris, France; Honolulu, Hawaii; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Fairbanks, Alaska. Among the most warmly received was that from President William A. Eddy of Hobart College, former English professor at Dartmouth.
