Mr. Ricks Again

To the Editor: I noticed in the latest edition of the magazine a letter from S. Prentiss Baldwin concerning a negro by the name of "Herbert Ricks." I was approached by a negro who gave the same name, the same class, and the same facts as those given to Mr. Baldwin. He did not ask for money, nor could I figure out just what it was he wanted. He claimed that Mr. Heneage had obtained a job for him out here somewhere, but didn't say where.

I could not remember his face, which I would have if he had been there, as he claimed, at the same time I was. He claimed that he had been a semester at Amherst, and through this he talked to several Amherst men here.

I do not know what has happened to him, but he declared that he was going back to Dartmouth in the fall of 1937 to finish college.

Likes the Ants

To the Editor:

As a member of the class of 1924 and also engaged in the pest control industry, I naturally was interested in the article that appeared in the March issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. I refer to "God Bless the Ants."

As a human interest story I think it has great appeal and would much desire the courtesy of your permission to have this republished in a trade paper called "TheExterminators Log." At the same time it would also help materially if you would loan the cuts that were used in connection with the article.

It may be of interest to know that on a recent extensive trip I saw at least two dozen of these ant houses.
