Edward J. Jeremiah '30, coach of the Boston Olympic hockey team for the past two years, has been engaged to coach Dartmouth's varsity and freshman hockey teams next season, it was announced by the Athletic Council after its meeting over the week-end of April 10-11. He will succeed Herbert B. Gill, who resigned during the past season.
After graduating from Dartmouth, Jeremiah played professional hockey in New Haven, New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Cleveland, and then left professional ranks to coach at Hebron Academy. He was engaged to coach the Boston Olympics in 1935-36, and after a highly successful season, including a victory over the United States Olympic team, was re-engaged for 1936-37. During this second season his Boston Olympics won the national amateur hockey championship.
