Guy Cox has the genuine sympathy of his class mates, expressed in many ways, in the loss of his wife Edith, who died at a hospital in Concord on July 13. At the funeral in Pittsfield, the following Saturday, the class was represented by Chandler, Dodge, and Greeley, with their wives. The church was filled with relatives and friends, and the profusion of flowers which Edith loved so dearly testified to the esteem in which she was held. Could she have chosen, she would have wished the end to come so near her summer home, Chichester Brook Farm, which she loved so keenly.
The Acting Secretary, who due to illness was unable to attend the Forty-fifth Reunion, is indebted to Aborn for the following record. There were present Greeley and wife, Chandler and wife, Mason and wife, Jarvis, Martyn, Cox, McKay, Childs, Griffith, Dodge and wife, Woodbury, wife and two daughters, Bowers, Weston, Metcalf, wife and daughter, Kinney and wife, Mis. Goss, Hunt, Mann and Aborn. The class dinner was held Saturday evening at the Ski Hut in the rear of the Inn, and a good time was voiced by all.
Frank Pelton writes that he hoped he could make our Forty-fifth but had to give it up. He is permanently located at Miami, Fla., 338 S. W. 57th Ave. (Mail address Box 1135, Route 1), and would be delighted to see any '93 man lost in his vicinity.
Billy Redenbaugh was another reunion absentee who expressed disappointment because he could not attend. He says he is now planning on our Fiftieth! Billy is still associated with the Seattle, Wash., public schools, and keeps fit by spending his vacations at one of the 175 San Juan Islands, located in the extreme northwest corner of the U. S., and considered by many more beautiful than the Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence. Evidence of Billy's prowess as an angler is furnished by a photograph of a salmon 37 inches long and weighing 30 pounds which he caught on one of his trips to the Islands.
Georgie Dodge and his partner were presented gold medals at a complimentary dinner at the Carpenter last summer by the George E. Keith Cos., makers of Walkover \Shoes. The medals were in commemoration of 50 years' continuous business relations and in observance of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the Dodge concern by Georgie's father. May the Shoe King of New Hampshire continue to lead the industry for years to come is the wish of his many friends.
The Lawrence (Mass.) Co-operative Bank, of which Zac Chandler has been president since 1922, recently issued a very attractive booklet in commemoration of 50 years of outstanding service in the community. The frontispiece carries a fine picture of the Judge.
All the Class will be delighted to learn that our Secretary Skid, at the May meeting of the Association of Secretaries, was awarded the trophy given annually to the outstanding class secretary of the year. The citation eulogized his faithfulness in writing class notes on a long term of years, his influence in estiblashing class amity and general support of all matters, vital to the interests of the College. In addition to the citation, he was presented with Prof. Richardson's history of the college in two volumes Skid is better but not able to resume his active class work.
