FINAL ENROLLMENT figures for the year 1938-39 show that the College has the second largest student body in its history, the grand total of 2,476 men being only four less than the record total of 1934-35. This year's grand total is 34 larger than last year's, while the undergraduate enrollment of 2,391 men is 30 larger than that of last year.
This year's freshman class numbers 676 men, including seven dropbacks from the Class of 1941, while the senior class numbers 530, the junior class 536, and the sophomore class 649. The increase in total undergraduate enrollment is accounted for by the jump of 35 men in the present sophomore class as compared to the second-year enrollment of last year. The junior class is three larger, while the freshmen number seven less and the seniors one less than last year.
