There have been a number of publications by the Dartmouth Eye Institute which have come out recently. One is reviewed in this issue. The last number of the Acta Ophthalmologica contained two articles in German by Dr. Bielschowsky; one, entitled Aniseikonia, in Vol. 16 (2/3): 188-227, and the other Die Storungen imBereich der Vertikalmotoren der Augen, ibid. 235-270. These are publications of two lectures which Dr. Bielschowsky gave last year; the former before the Swedish Ophthalmological Society in Stockholm on November 7, the latter before the Danish Ophthalmological Society in Copenhagen on November 1. The August issue of the Archives of Ophthalmology contained an article by Dr. Bielschowsky entitled Disturbances of the Vertical Motor Muscles ofthe Eyes.

Dr. Hermann Burian is the author of an article appearing recently in the Medicinski Pregled, No. 3, 1937, in Serbian, entitled Persistence of the pupillary membrane and its importance for the genesisof congenital cataracts.

Another publication by the Eye Institute is Induced Size Effect. I. A New Phenomenon in Binocular Space PerceptionAssociated with the Relative Sizes of theImages of the Two Eyes, by Professor Kenneth N. Ogle. This appears in the October issue of the Archives of Ophthalmology.

Another publication, Visual Factors inReading by Mr. Henry A. Imus, appears in the October number of Understanding theChild.

Recreation Industry of New Hampshire by Professor Albert S. Carlson appeared in the July issue of ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY.

Pressures on the Legislature of NewJersey, published by Columbia University Press, by Professor D. D. McKean will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE.
