Palaeopitus Committee
December 1938

THROUGH A SPECIAL committee of Palaeopitus headed by John S. Cumming Jr. '39 a movement has been established to effect closfer relationships between alumni and undergraduates through joint alumnistudent meetings during vacation periods. The Palaeopitus alumni relations committee has recently offered its services to some eighty alumni clubs throughout the country in providing undergraduate talent for speaking and entertainment programs at special meetings of alumni clubs. It is expected that the services proffered by Palaeopitus may be particularly helpful to alumni in arranging Christmas vacation luncheons or meetings when the group present can include undergraduates and prospects for admission and their fathers as well as alumni.

The objective of the program sponsored by Palaeopitus is stated to be: "To strengthen the alumni and student body through a closer relationship between the two."

A further development of the plan is the offer of Palaeopitus to name undergraduates who will be available in all large centers to give information to applicants for admission during vacation periods.
