THE DARTMOUTH BOARD OF TRUSTEES, meeting at the University Club, Boston, in an unusual session away from Hanover, elected Harvey P. Hood II '18 of Cambridge, Mass., and Dudley W. Orr '29 of Concord, N. H., Alumni Trustees of the College on December 6. The election of these two nominees of the Alumni Council restored the Board to its full membership of twelve men and also fulfilled the charter requirement that five members be residents of New Hampshire.
Mr. Hood, president of the Boston dairy products firm of H. P. Hood and Sons, will fill the unexpired term of Edward S. French '06, recently elevated to Life Trustee; and Mr. Orr, lawyer and former Assistant Attorney General of New Hampshire, will fill the unexpired term of William W. Grant '03, also elected a Life Trustee.
The Dartmouth Board of Trustees is now made up of President Hopkins as chairman; Governor Robert O. Blood 'I3M of New Hampshire as ex-officio member; John R. McLane '07 of Manchester, N. H.; Victor M. Cutter '03 of Newton, Mass.; Dr. John F. Gile '16 of Hanover; and Mr. French and Mr. Grant as Life Trustees; and Philip S. Marden '94 of Lowell, Mass.; William J. Minsch '07 of New York City; Dr. Arthur H. Ruggles '02 of Providence, R. I.; and Mr. Hood and Mr. Orr as Alumni Trustees.
