To our mind one of the most interesting things this month was to pick up a copy of Picture News, monthly publicity sheet for Sinclair Gas and Oils, and read the following caption: "World's largest footprints made by a Mr. Dinosaur whose bones are the object of a new American Museum- Sinclair Expedition into Wyoming this summer. The members of the expedition are, left to right, R. T. Bird, Robert Chaffee, etc. And sure enough there was Bob Chaffee, Senior Fellow, as big as life in the picture.

Alan Beetle is also located in Wyoming, where he holds an assistantship in botany at the University. Last summer Alan worked in the Rocky Mountain area, surveying the vegetation and making collections of the plants. Charlie Nichols recently resigned his position as assistant in biology to accept the Research Fellowship at Harvard. There he is working on problems in cyto-genetics in cooperation with other men who are engaged in the general problem of finding strains of trees that will produce lumber faster than it can be grown now. Tom Allen is working at the Cleveland Trust Company in Cleveland, Ohio, and Paul Cleaveland is continuing the study of law at New Haven, wherever that is. Russ Crawford is working for his father's company in Chicago, 111. Bob Dickson is living at the Austin Y. M. C. A. in Chicago, and Mario A. Guerrieri is living in Stockbridge, Mass.

In the last issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE Bob Morris inquired as to the whereabouts of one Tom Sinding. Like an answer to a maiden's prayer, Tom Sinding dropped in at the Royal Park Inn to spend the night and give us the low-down on his myriad travels. Tom has been all over this country and the Hawaiian Islands, working in the promotional department of the Great Wrigley Chewing Gum Company. His most recent assignment is two months in Miami, which brought him by the front door of the Royal Park Inn. A 1 Jenkin is working for the Equitable Trust Company in Wilmington, Del., and Bill McLaughlin is working as an accountant in New York City. We are still waiting for that letter from Jack O'Connell. Jack Patrick is now living in Portland, Oregon, and Bert Pike is working for the Arkansas National Bank in Hot Springs, Ark.

COURAGE, MON AMI

Miss Katherine Ann Jay announces her marriage on Tuesday the 28th of December to Mr. Gilbert Greenleaf Sykes.

Under a lovely picture in the Bangor Daily Com?nercial we read that Miss Deborah Bradford Nealley's engagement to Robert Gay MacPherson is announced by her parents. The wedding will be in the late spring.

Miss Miriam Rafferty announces her engagement to Earl Edward McEvoy of New Rochelle and Culver City, Calif.

McEvoy has been affliated with the production department of Metro-Goldwyn Mayer since graduation. The wedding is to take place in the early part of the summer.

A 1 Gibney has once more taken his pen in hand and has written one of his usual breezy, newsy letters, which is of such general interest that we are quoting it in its entirety: "It seems that I've been meeting the boys right and left (mostly the latter under the present economic system), and there comes a note of ski heil and other memoric phrases. The Copley Plaza is still giving away envelopes, and it turns up that Eversharp and Gibney, Inc., jotted a few notes on the 25% rag watermark, to wit (and I quote): 'Dug' Porter now residing in the famous Charles River area has been seen between three and four A.M. in his apartment administering service to a baby girl, Elizabeth Simmons Porter, born on the 26th of December.

"Summer Borofski (recently re-pass- ported as Summer Burroughs) has found a quiet way in the Buster May department store, the Famour-Barr, out in the middle of the sand belt-St. Louis. At present he's an assistant buyer of one of the sundries.

HONOLULU HONEYMOON

"Perhaps it may have been May when Buster May made up his mind, but substantial rumor has it that there is now a Mrs. Buster May who May be traveling to Honolulu on a honeymoon.

"Barry Sullivan, that bard of the nation's capitol, can be seen periodically during any day or night switching hats from the style of a navy admiral's coiffeur, to a sailor's cap, to a reporter's batter bundoon. He's now a reporter on the Washington Post, handling the Navy news, and is probably applying some of that stuff about public opinion that was dished out in Poli Sci xoi.

"Jack Matzinger has found it necessary to establish a home in Chicago as the result of being connected with the Hearst merchandizing department, traveling here and there around the Mid-Western corn belt.

"Chuck Williams has been amusing everyone in the South who moves out of one location more than once a year by turning up at the oddest times in Memphis, Atlanta, Washington, and several other localities of minor description, selling these areas the products of Houghton Mifflin to the readers of Southern territory.

"McCleary is leading the life of trainrider, but his efforts are at present confined to the New England section, where, when I last saw him, he was promoting disposable baby diapers for the Cooperative Magazine Merchandizing outfit. He'll probably find fertile territory amongst the institutions of learning here in Boston during the exam period, though the new market will probably raise some production problems.

"Dick Morton, with International Business Machine since that fateful June 15 two years ago, has just been made a senior salesman with all the sleeplessness that goes with the job.

"The god of marriage who doffs his slippery chapeau periodically around here is due to be present in Auburndale, Mass., on the 9th of February. Vinnie Wentworth will be taking the hand of "Gibby" Campbell (though not holding for the first time, I'll betcha). Prior to the feasting week the bros. of P. K. P. (and others) plan an underwear shower for the groom—not because it is felt that he needs it, but merely to give him a good foundation.

"As for the many mice at HBS, the slide rule and the statistics trends are still being slipped around with violent regularity, and while we're riding the steeps of the stockmarket index, we all wish we were skiing the slopes of the Hanover hills.

"So endeth the scribbles on the Copley Plaza stationery—quite a dither for the depth of a 3 x 4 envelope!"
