Three Dartmouth graduates were among the 23 successful candidates in the recently concluded examination for the United States Foreign Service. They were William L. Krieg '29, Carl F. Norden '29, and Parker T. Hart '33. A total of 600 persons took the examinations.
In recent years the average age at admission to the service has increased to 25 years or over, and representatives of the recent Dartmouth classes have not yet appeared. At present, from the more recent classes, there are two men from 1925, two from 1926, two from 1928, three from 1929, with Hart the only man yet admitted from a class as late as 1933.
