The treasurer of the class wishes to thank members for the ready response to his notices which were sent out last month. Many have expressed their appreciation of the plan adopted by the class for the subscription to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE for all members of the class.
Lambert writes that he has now occupied the position of professor of anatomy in the Medical School of the State University of lowa at lowa City for nearly fourteen years. In connection with his work there he has published two books, the latest being released in January of this year. His son Herson graduated from the medical school where his father teaches and is now practicing medicine in Winthrop, Me. A daughter, Mary, graduates from high school this spring and plans to enter Grinnell College next fall. His son Bud is a freshman in high school and plays the piano and violin. He is entered in the district competition on the piano this year. Mary plays the flute in the state and perhaps in the national competition next fall. Lambert regrets that he has been unable to get to the class reunions, but says that his family comes East for summer vacation after July 15 at Avalon Beach, Lake Bomoseen, in Castleton, Vt., and he will be pleased to see any of the class who may happen up that way.
Frank Moore's new address is 26 Allen St., Amherst, Mass. His son Francis is located in Providence, R. 1., and is engaged in the federal investigation of rivers in New England.
Arthur H. Ruggles, who is superintendent of Butler Hospital in Providence, R. 1., and a trustee of the College, writes that his son, Arthur Jr., is teaching at Deerfield Academy, and that his daughter is in her first year at Smith. Last summer Arthur had an interesting trip, attending the Second International Conference on Mental Hygiene in Paris, at which he read a paper. Later he visited Vienna and Budapest, studying some of the new methods of treating dementia praecox. He also had the direction of a study of family care of mental patients in Germany, and had an opportunity of seeing much that was going on in Germany.
Arthur V. Ruggles is employed with the New York City Board of Water Supply at 346 Broadway, New York, at present being employed in the construction of the new Delaware Aqueduct for the increase of the water supply of the city.
