Moore Lectures
June 1938

One of the best attended lecture series ever presented on the Guernsey Center Moore Foundation was given in Hanover on May 9 to 12 by Marcel W. Fodor, former Central European correspondent for The Manchester Guardian in England and The Chicago Daily News in this country. Four lectures on the general topic "Hitler Upsets the Balance of Europe' dealt in turn with "The Revived Ghost of Berlin-Bagdad," "Hitler's Entry into Vienna," "The Czech David Tries To Block the Nazi Giant" and "The Isms of Our Times." Having spent 20 years as correspondent in Vienna and other Central European capitals, Mr. Fodor gave a fascinatingly authentic account of recent events involving Hitler and the Nazi nntchluss in Austria.

This year's lecture series was the 18 th since the start of the Guernsey Center Moore Foundation in 1920. The annual lecture series has been made possible through the gift of H. L. Moore '77, a former trustee of the College, in memory of his son, Guernsey Center Moore 'O4, who died while an undergraduate.
