Charlie Main and Bill Bell have sent in clippings from various Boston newspapers which tell of the election of our classmate Walter Powers to the presidency of the Dartmouth College Alumni Association at Boston. The Boston Herald carries a picture of the men at the speakers' table, and Walter's beaming countenance, expressing the marvelous intellect which sits enthroned behind his classic brow, stands out as strikingly as does the stately iris in its native habitat surrounded by rank grasses.

Bill Gleason, who holds the world's record for ability to secure positions, has just severed his connection with the Humboldt Park WPA Project. Bill had direct charge of the baseball teams during this past season, and apparently performed with the same energy that he possessed in the days when he held down that important position in the Dartmouth infield. Bill has just accepted a new position as manager of the local office of the new magazine Halt, which has for its object the promotion of a better understanding between capital and labor and the return to the plain, simple, but fundamental, ideals of Americanism.

Bob Carpenter, president of the Carpenter Metal Products Company of Cleveland, Ohio, attended the Canners Convention in Chicago a short time ago. He manufactures heavy metal baskets and retorts for the canning industry. Bob was a vision in brown from the dainty Alpine hat, which crowned him, to the tip of his collegiate shoes. Bob, who sees Ivan Greenwood in Cleveland very often, said that Ivan is no longer in the real estate business. For many years, his firm, Greenwood & Greenwood, was well known as one of the most outstanding real estate firms, specializing in downtown leases. Ivan now conducts a financial report service which indicates the trend of business. Bill Gleason expressed the opinion that he could tell where business is going without the assistance of a service of this kind.

Our famous engineer, Gus Ayer, and our vice president, Charlie Main, had a reunion of their own on the occasion of the Thayer Society in New York recently. Gus is now connected with the Utah Construction Company, which organization is building a tunnel which is a part of the Dela- ware Aqueduct, which helps supply water to New York City. His present address is:

Augustine H. Ayers, Post Office Box 118 Bedford, New York

Chester M. Everett is now living at Niantic, Conn. He still maintains his old office address at 22 East 40th St., New York City.

We had a delightful chat with Maynor Brock at Kansas City a few days ago. He has a very happy family, consisting of himself, Mrs. Brock, and the four joung Brocks. He still teaches mathematics and sciences, and is considered to be one of Kansas City's substantial citizens.

Bucky Kraft has consolidated his business with that of his former partner, and this new and very aggressive school supply manufacturing firm is now being operated under the name of "K-M Supply Corporation." Buck is president of the organization. Incidentally, the president of Kansas City's largest national bank told your correspondent that he considered Charles Kraft the most convincing salesman in Kansas City.
