CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS are several weeks past but we well remember the fine talk Averill Daniells, Freshman Football Coach, gave before 50 of the local alumni and undergraduates at the annual undergraduate luncheon on December 28 at the Roosevelt Hotel. This former University of Pittsburgh gridiron star, plus Eddie Hirshberg, Varsity Coach also from Pitt, have not only helped attain new football laurels for Dartmouth, but are in addition willing and able speakers for our alumni parties.

Newest arrivals in Western Pennsylvania area include: Donald F. Pease '37, at Donora; Andrew D. Robertson '38 at Wilkinson; William E. Porter '33 now with Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh; Patrick J. Phelan '25 at Mount Pleasant; William G. Gibson '36 and David F. Menard '28 at Mellon Institute. For the attention of these men—Weekly Luncheons are held at 12:00 Wednesdays, the Oliver Bldg. Restaurant.

We are sorry to announce that Charlie McAllister, newly elected secretary of the class of 1931, has moved from our center, a promotion with the Phoenix Mutual Life takes him back to the company's headquarters at Hartford, Conn. Andrew W. Cummins '32, the young attorney from Houston and Union town made the papers the other day for the first news we have had of him since graduation. The event—his marriage to Marion K. Becker in Trinity Cathedral. We also take pleasure in broadcasting the coming wedding of Steelman Bill Gillies '33 and Mary Lee Rust on February 18.

Plans are being made for the joint celebration of Dartmouth Night and the annual dinner. Bill McCarter, Director of Athletics, has been obtained as the guest speaker for the evening affair to be held at the University Club at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, March 10.
