Under a date in February came a note from Sailor Cook, saying, "I am still hanging on quite comfortably and keeping up the weekly column. Had a severe attack in October, and not another until February 2. My best regards to members of '91."
The Secretary calls attention on page 18 of the March issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE to the error in crediting to the class of 1898 our beloved Eggleston under a delightful article, "A 50 Edition Best Seller," who left to the Baker Library numerous copies of Wood's books on botany.
Woodcock was an honorary pallbearer at the funeral of Frank E. Winsor, chief engineer of the Metropolitan District Water Supply Commission. Woodcock and Winsor were in the same class at Brown University.
On a recent trip carrying the Secretary into New Hampshire and Vermont he was able to contact the following classmates: He found Willey busy in his egg business at his home in Bradford, Vt. Of his three children, Clarence F. graduated from Dartmouth in 1932, obtained his Ph.D. at Princeton, and now is on the faculty of Norwich University at Northfield, Vt. His older son, Raymond, is with the General Electric Company in Schenectady, N. Y., where he is rate man in the electric welding department. He is married and the father of a son and two daughters. The daughter, Isabel, formerly a teacher in St. Johnsbury, Vt., is now the wife of Willard H. Ward, chief draftsman of the Fairbanks Standard Scale Company of St. Johnsbury. The Wards have a son, Richard. The Secretary had a pleasant chat at the Hanover Inn with Dan Richardson, who seemed comfortable and in good spirits. He found Proctor at the State Hospital in Concord, N. H. John seemed happy, and in avoiding being a nuisance manages to make himself somewhat useful. He has his eye on our Fiftieth.
