THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Central Ohio met at a rousing peerade dinner on Dartmouth Night at the Hotel Virginia in Columbus. Harold E. Burtt '11 whipped up tunes on the piano. Alpheus English '15 conducted the meeting and acted as Master of Ceremonies. Derrol Johnson '25, James McK. Williams '24, and Dr. J. B. C. Eckstorm '98 made pertinent remarks concerning the tradition of Dartmouth, Dartmouth history, and Dartmouth Night.
Men new to Columbus who were welcomed by the club for the first time were John B. Martin '31, Robert W. Tucker '27, Robert Sherrer '16, Jim Dickinson '35, Joe Schaefler '36. Ed Williams '35 came over from Newark for the party. Jake Heckma '34 couldn't leave London, and Cy Fulton '35 was unable to get away from Lancaster on* this particular night.
