RESOLUTION PASSED by Dartmouth Club of Dayton in memory of the late George Goodhue:
"Dr. Goodhue, as we called him, was a native of Vermont, born within short distance of Dartmouth College. He was reared in the country where he knew the rigors of the cold north wind and the pleasures of the countryside in summer. He attended Dartmouth College as a poor boy eager to get learning and knowledge; he taught school during the time he attended college and after graduation he studied medicine in New York City and came to Dayton to practice his chosen profession. He was a successful doctor and surgeon, helping many persons during his long career.
"His devotion to his profession was second to his devotion to Dartmouth College. He regularly returned to Hanover each year at graduation. He was always interested in the college, and especially those who attended college-the younger members. He was active as a member of his class. Dartmouth College has lost a true son and Dayton a splendid citizen, surgeon and doctor."
