To COMMEMORATE the 75th birthday of Richard Hovey '85, Dartmouth's poet laureate, Dartmouth men will make a pilgrimage to his grave in North Andover, Mass., on May 4, and a large get-tdgether will be held at the University Club in Boston that evening.

The program at the Richard Hovey Shrine will be held in the Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover, at 4 in the afternoon. There services will be conducted by the Reverend Clinton W. Carvell '18 of North Andover, and a bit of granite from Reed Hall and a memorial wreath from Men of Dartmouth will be placed on Hovey's grave. A soloist and a quartet will sing the Hanover WinterSong, A Stein Song, and other Hovey songs.

The program at the University Club at 8 o'clock that evening will include readings by Joseph J. Donahue '08, impersonating Hovey; songs led by John P. English 'l6; and a dialogue between Hovey and Eleazar, represented by Howard E. Smith '05. Morton Hull '08 and Harry S. McDevitt '07 will appear in Chinatown, and Bill Cunningham '19 at the piano and Gus Sonnenberg '20 with his violin will repeat their recent radio skit.

Keynote of the University Club program, in charge of George E. Liscomb '07, will be a gladsome one"with a stein on the table in the fellowship of spring."

HANOVER OBSERVANCE

In Hanover the 75th anniversary of Hovey's birth will be observed with a special Tower Room program arranged by Miss Elizabeth Marsh. Professor Francis L. Childs '06 of the English department will read from Hovey's poems, the Glee Club will sing several Hovey songs, and Professor Curtis Hidden Page '11h, former member of the English department who roomed with Hovey after the latter's graduation, has been invited to speak about Dartmouth's poet laureate.
