ASA RAGING BLIZZARD tried to keep Maine Dartmouthites from celebrating Dartmouth Night, thirty members of our club won their way through the drifts and assembled in the Cumberland Club in Portland.
The magnet was Dartmouth Night with Dr. Gordon H. Gliddon of the Eye Clinic who had taxied through 170 miles of snow to give us one of the most interesting talks we had ever had—a complete outline of the development of the Eye Clinic from its beginning to its glorious present.
The business of the evening consisted of the election of officers for the year—Edward L. Robinson '13, pres.; Carrell K. Pierce '29, vice pres.; and Reynolds E. Moulton '35, sec.-treas. The nominating committee consisted of retiring president Paul Harmon '13, Dr. Thomas A. Foster '10, Dr. Philip Thompson '02, and William Greenleaf '05.
A motion was made and passed that our club would join with Westbrook Junior College in sponsoring a joint concert of the Dartmouth and Westbrook Glee Clubs and a dance in the Eastland Hotel in Portland, on April 21, 1939.
