The key to the picture of the freshmen appearing in these columns is as follows, reading from left to right, back row: Rollins, Henderson, Wheatley, Hawkridge, Allison. Front row: Bond, Heald, Caproni.

The men listed above are indeed an unusually fine bunch of live wires, all of whom seem to rejoice in the fact that their dads were members of the class of ' n and have formed rather a congenial club among themselves. Thinking it may be of interest there follows a list of all the 1911 sons in Dartmouth at the present time, together with the activities in which they have been engaged. You will be impressed by the fact that every man has been engaged in one or more activities, which is an unusual record.

The big news of the month is Henry Hubert's marriage to Elizabeth Dorothy Mertz of Jersey City, on December 17, at the Church of the Transfiguration in New York City. The bride is a registered nurse, a graduate of Christ Hospital in Jersey City, and has been superintendent of nurses at the Franklin Hospital, Franklin, N. H. Henry is connected with the Corporation Counsel's office, city of Mount Vernon, N. Y., in the capacity of special council in connection with delinquent taxes.

Heine Chase rates the news column because of his attendance at Dartmouth dinners. The first news item was from the "Dartmouth-in-Dixie-Doings," which said, "Once again we pin a rose on the class of 1911. One of its members, Major Thornton Chase, U.S.A., recently visited Richmond, remembered that Tuesday is the day when the Dartmouth Club of Virginia meets at Luncheon, and foregathered with the crowd. Major Chase has been R.O.T.C. head at North Carolina State College in Raleigh, since 1936. Prior to that, he had been at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii."

This was followed by a letter from George Morris, who states, "At Richmond during Dr. Douglas VanderHoof's '01, annual entertainment of the Dartmouth alumni I saw none other than 'Heine' Chase, who had driven all of the way up from Raleigh, N. C. His chief complaint is that all of the time he had a similar post in Connecticut and was able to see all of the Dartmouth football teams play, we weren't getting anywhere. Now that he is unable to see these games they are really worth watching. Heine has found army life very stimulating, and in appearance, my impression is that he is one of the youngest looking men in the class."

George also added that Ted Stafford's boy, who is at the Naval Academy, has been on the "Plebe" crew, took honors in boxing, and is displaying his father's abil-ity in studies

Charles Harris is bookkeeper for the M. W. Flemming Coal Company, 52 Pulaski St., Stamford, Conn., and is living on Belltown Road, Stamford.
