ON OCTOBER THIRD seventy Dartmouth men assembled at the Publix House in Sturbridge for dinner. After dinner the officers for the year 1940-41 were elected with the usual steamroller tactics: President, C. Jerry Spaulding '24; Vice President, Loren J. R. Westhaver '28; Secretary, Donald G. Mix '21; Treasurer, Howard M. Booth '24.
The election of officers was followed by one of the most successful and instructive meetings ever held by the Dartmouth Club of Worcester County. Professor Frank Maloy Anderson held the crowd spellbound for two hours with a discussion of the causes and effect of World War 11. There was a question and answer period which lasted over a half hour. The meeting broke up about 11:30.
It was discovered that every Dartmouth man in Southbridge was present at the meeting. Several were present from Gardner, Winchendon and Fitchburg.
