The Secretary of the Class of '76 finds his relations with the Secretaries of earlier classes maturing and gaining in interest, but especially his relations with the Secretaries of those classes whose reunions have come at the same time as his own. The earliest of these contacts is with Henry A. Kendall, the only survivor of the Class of '66, on whom calls have been made and with whom letters have been exchanged. In a recent letter he welcomes members of '76 into the fellowship of the nineties; a rare letter it was with such stress on interests and loyalties, and such grace of abiding friendship as perhaps nothing short of the nineties could yield Friendliness with William W. Flint, of the Class of '71, was advanced last spring when a room was shared with him at Hanover Inn. Both Flint and Abbott, '71, had younger brothers in '76 Since Jacob J. Wertheimer was elected Secretary of '75 a correspondence has developed with him which is mutually appreciated and which seems likely to become a permanency. Wertheimer's letters indicate his continued activity in business, with enjoyable recreation seasons. B. J. Wertheimer of '76 was a younger brother.
The Hardisons have reached DeLand, Florida, and are located in the house they had last year and the year before. They made the auto trip without accident or delay of any sort Mrs. Anderson is located for the winter at Santa Ana, Cal. Peabody sends a very interesting colored photograph which represents him as at his place of business. He is the only graduate of '76 who is keeping up business activity much as in recent or earlier years. He seems also the only graduate of the class driving a car.
