E GORDON BILL, Dean of the Faculty, . is scheduled to speak before eight Dartmouth alumni groups during March, opening his series at Toledo, Ohio, on March 1 and closing at Chicago on March 15. Two additional alumni dinners, opening Dean Bill's tour, were held at Columbus on February 28 and at Cincinnati on February 29.
The complete schedule for March dinners includes Toledo, March 1; Cleveland (luncheon meeting), March 2; Detroit, March 5; Grand Rapids, March 6; Minneapolis and St. Paul, March 9; Milwau- kee, March 11; St. Louis, March 13; and Chicago, March 15. Dean Bill's talks before Dartmouth alumni in these centers will describe educational and faculty developments at the College.
Sidney C. Hay-ward '26, Secretary of the College, will also appear before alumni groups during March, speaking at a dinner meeting of the Dartmouth Club in Wellesley, Mass., on March 4, and at a dinner meeting of the North Shore Dartmouth Club in Marblehead, Mass., on March 5. Undergraduate speakers at these two meetings will be C. Whitney Miller '40, captain of last .fall's football team, and Roy R. Merchant Jr. '40, vice president of the senior class and treasurer of Palaeopitus.
Prof. Benfield Pressey of the English department will speak before the Dartmouth Club of New Haven on March 29, and Ross McKenney, woodsman adviser of the Dartmouth Outing Club, will speak to the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania at Harrisburg on March 1.
During February representatives of the College at alumni dinners included Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23, who spoke at Worcester, Mass., on February 28 and at Philadelphia, in company with Ross McKenney, on February 29; Prof. Andrew J. Scarlett '10 of the Chemistry department, who spoke at Springfield, Vt., on February 5; Prof. Frank M. Anderson of the History department, who spoke at Lowell, Mass., on February 14; and Edward T. Chamberlain Jr. '36, assistant to the Dean of Freshmen, who gave a series of five talks at Albany, N. Y., on February 16, Glens Falls on the 17 th, Syracuse on the 19th, Rochester on the 20th, and Buffalo on the 21st.
