Plant Physiologists Meet

SOME FIFTY prominent scientists from colleges, universities, and state research laboratories gathered in Hanover on May 10 and 11 for the two-day session of the New England section of the American Society of Plant Physiologists. President Hopkins delivered the address of welcome at the opening session and Prof. Charles J. Lyon of Dartmouth presided as chairman of the section. Among the papers presented on the results of research in plant physiology was one prepared jointly by Professor Lyon and Dr. Joseph S. Tidd '28 of Dartmouth's Department of Biology.

Representatives attended the meetings from Harvard, Yale, McGill, Smith, Mt. Holyoke, Wheaton, and from the universities and experiment stations of the States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
