Paul D. Paganucci '53, president of the New York investment banking firm of Lombard, Vitalis, Paganucci, and Nelson, has been named Associate Dean of the Tuck School. He will assume his duties July 1, succeeding Acting Associate Dean Frederick E. Webster Jr. '59, who will return in the fall to full-time teaching and research.
In his new position, Paganucci will have particular responsibility for the master of business administration program, in addition to other planning and administrative duties. He will also teach in the area of investments and finance.
After graduating summa cum laude, Paganucci received an M.B.A. with distinction from Tuck School in 1954 and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1957. As an undergraduate he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and served as treasurer of Casque and Gauntlet and president of Kappa Kappa Kappa.
In 1961, Paganucci and two Dartmouth classmates, Richard D. Lombard and William N. Vitalis, formed the firm which specializes in institutional brokerage and investment banking. A member of the New York Stock Exchange, it has grown from four employees at its founding to 76.
Paganucci has been active in College and alumni affairs, as a member of the Alumni Council, as president of the Dartmouth Club of New York, as vice chairman of the Metropolitan New York area for the Third Century Fund and, currently, as a member of the Board of Overseers of the Tuck School. He also is secretary of his Harvard Law School class and a trustee of the Harvard Law School Association of New York City.
