DARTMOUTH NIGHT this year has been set for Thursday evening, October 8. This announcement was made by Paul L. Parker '43 of Des Moines, lowa, president of Palaeop- itus, after conference with President Hopkins and other College officials.

The Webster Hall celebration, al- ways the hub of nation-wide meet- ings of Dartmouth men, comes two days before the major home football game with Colgate, and part of the Hanover program will be built around the approaching contest. The Band and Glee Club will take part and President Hopkins will head the list of speakers. Palaeopitus hopes to continue the custom of having a prominent alumnus also address the students and faculty on Dartmouth Night. Curtailment of Dartmouth Night plans in many centers is ex- pected because of war conditions.
