THE SECOND UNIT OF 961 Naval Reserve officers, of which 17 were Dartmouth alumni, was graduated from the Dartmouth Naval Training School on November 17. Capt. N. L. Nichols, training officer of the First Naval District, and Capt. H. M. Briggs, commanding officer of the Dartmouth school, were the main speakers.

Having completed the 60-day indoctrination course here, the newly commissioned officers report for active duty or for further training at Naval stations throughout the country. Enrollment for the new class of approximately one thousand student officers was completed by November 24, official opening date of the third session.
