NAVAL AVIATION UNITS made up entirely of Dartmouth men and officially designated as "Indian Units" are being formed and trained only at the Squantum (Mass.) Naval Air Station, the College has been advised by the Navy Department. The college units promoted by the Navy are always established in the Naval District in which the particular college is located.

Squantum is the training base for the First Naval District, comprising all of New England except Connecticut. The Third Naval District, embracing New York State, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey, has its training base at Floyd Bennett Field, where such college units as the Tiger Units of Princeton men, Bulldog Units of Yale men, and Lion Unions of Columbia men are given primary training.

A Dartmouth man accepted for training as a naval avaiator may have his choice of entering the Squantum station, either as a member of an Indian Unit or not, or of starting training at the Naval Air Station in the District where his home is located. The Indian Units are open to Dartmouth graduates of eligible age as well as to undergraduates.

Men interested in the possibility of becoming a member of an Indian Unit in the Navy Air Corps may obtain full information at the Personnel Bureau of the College.
