Early in January Vic Borella was elected to the board of directors of Rockefeller Center, Inc. The popular director of personnel and industrial relations for the corporation, whose picture appeared in color in the Ladies' Home Journal and who entertained and escorted the Duke and Duchess of Windsor through the lofty buildings of Rockefeller Center last year, was pictured in the New York Times when the announcement of his election appeared.
Vic's is a real success story. After a brief spell as a reporter for the Barre (Vt.) Times, he became associated in the personnel department of the Terminal Transportation Company (taxis) in the fall of 1930. In the short space of two years he was director of personnel for the company. In another two years Vic joined the public relations department of the General Motors Corporation, remaining there for five years, when he accepted his present post at Rockefeller Center. His election to the board of directors is well-merited recognition of his careful handling of the company's relations with its employees in these days of omnipotent unions.
