As promised you in August, Ned Price is the heavy contributor to this installment. First, for the Armed Services items: Reg Parks is a captain in the Air Forces and when last reported was at Lowry Field, Denver, Colo.; Paul Rosenthal is in the Service, details unavailable as we go to press. Lt. Fred Bornman writes Ned from sunny San Diego: "Since early November last year I've been here, in the office of Industrial Manager, Radio Material .Office, to be exact. I am O-in-C of the civilian shop, nth Naval Dist. Quite like running any old shop, but with only one customer." Connie Keyes, 2nd Lt., TC, Seattle Port of Embarkation, Seattle, Wash., reports: "When I arrived in Seattle I was assigned to Transportation Corps and given the job of Cargo Security Officer on the Alaska-Aleutian run. My job is to travel the transports, see that cargo is properly handled and that it is put ashore at destination in good shape. It's an interesting job and I like it, as it offers infinite variety. As you know, I tried to get into the Navy before I was drafted, and now I don't mind because I expect to be at sea most of the time."

Civilian items are next. Hal Braman reveals that June 15 they moved to Middlebury, seven miles west of Waterbury, Conn., to be in the country. George Harris is indirectly reported as associated in business with Bob Burroughs in Manchester. Via Bill Codding comes the news that Jack Riley is with Eastern Aircraft Corp., Trenton, and living at 2 South Clinton Ave., Trenton, N. J. Russ Goodnow writes Ned that he's no longer with WPB in Boston but is back with his own business in Providence, full time. Francis Hickman is president of the Parkview Hotel. Memphis, Tenn.; indications are that this is a side issue with Francis

Moving along to later reports, '21 turns up with three sons in the civilian fresh man class: Kenneth E. Brown, son of Herrick; R. DeWitt Mallary, Jr., and Richard A. Mayo, son of Bob. Speaking of Bob Mayo, we have a news story about him from Lt. Comdr. Allen Brailey, who was reporting August 29 on a new assignment at the Training Station, Sampson, N. Y., when he wrote: "The only classmate whom I have recently seen was Bob Mayo, with whom I spent a very delightful day in January. At that time he was attending the Coast Artillery School at Ft. Monroe, Old Point Comfort, Va., but I am sure he has moved on from there long since. He was working like the deuce at the time." Which suggests an up-to-date report fromyou, Bob!

Bill Embree as of August 11 disclosed that his son Bill had been inducted into the Army the previous day, "so I am definitely feeling my age today," says Bill. .... Dana Lamb was admitted to general partnership September 1 in the Stock Exchange firm of Ingalls & Snyder, 100 Broadway, New York Harold Breckenridge postcards that he has moved to 2249 Cranston St., Providence 9, R. I. "Would be glad to see any '21ers who chance this way. Business address is unchanged [Blackstone Mutual Fire Insurance Co.]."

....It's now Lt. Col. R. C. Batchelder QMC, and he wants mail sent c/o P.M., San Francisco, according to a letter originating July 12 from Hamilton Field, Calif The Jack Hubbells welcomed a daughter Susan to their home on August 25, reports the N. Y. World-Telegram. Cliff Hart, forwarder of that clipping, spent an extended summer vacation working on architectural designs for the Valley Forge Hospital, Phoenixville, Pa., and camouflaging coast defense batteries for the Army in Maine and Mass Henry Palmer recently telephoned this department; gave out with the news that Joe Walker is on fabrics work with Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron; Henry sees Joe and his family fairly frequently when in that rubber metropolis.

M"aj. Ed Luedke, writing by V...—Mail from "the big headquarters, somewhere in North Africa," turns up with such an interesting letter that your correspondent is saving the whole thing for the next issue. . . . .Vinnie Corwin is at 1321 Ferris St., Royal Oak, Mich., of all places. What's cooking, Vin?.... Leon Bateman, photogenic as ever, made Page 2 of the August 13 Boston Herald posing with his pointer "Beau" at the Lexington aircraft observation post Capt. Rog Wilde, completing a course at Harrisburg, has drawn assignment to an Army Air Base. Says it's one of the best bases in the Second Command and good luck is still riding with him Maj. Ort Hicks has received announcement of Ky Frost's daughter's marriage, disclosing her father is now Lt. Comdr. O. C. Frost Warren Homer some time back sent this operative an extremely interesting discourse on Army life as found at Camp Ritchie, Md., where he was at the moment a corporal in Cos. H, 2nd Training Bn., taking a special course the nature of which was a military secret. Things happen so fast nowadays that news of this sort frequently is "water over the dam" before it greets your eyes in print. Notwithstanding that situation, your reporter earnestly solicits news from, and about, all '21ers in the armed services.

CAPT. ROGER C. WILDE '21 receives congratulations from the commanding officer upon graduating as an honor student from the Air Corps OTS at Miami, Florida.
