Dartmouth at Radcliffe
December 1943

Something new every day. Dartmouth's official delegate at the Radcliffe inauguration of President Jordan on November 22 was a woman—an eminent Dartmouth wife and mother. President Hopkins appointed Mrs. E. K. Hall to represent him and the College, the first time to our knowledge that Dartmouth's position in an inaugural academic procession has been filled by a "co-ed."

Mrs. Hall, of Hanover, is the wife of the late and distinguished E. K. Hall '92 who was a Trustee o£ Dartmouth, vice president of American Tel. 8c Tel., and a life-long leader in intercollegiate football. Mrs. Hall is a trustee of Radcliffe. Their sons—Dick Hall '27 and Edward K. '34—both attended Dartmouth. Dick's House, Dartmouth's distinctive infirmary, was given by Mr. and Mrs. Hall in memory of the elder son who died while an undergraduate.
