Alumni Meetings
March 1943

A SERIES OF IMPORTANT alumni speaking engagements will take President Hopkins to New York, Chicago, and Washington, D. C., during the latter part of March. The New York gathering will be unusual in that he will speak at the Dartmouth College Club on two evenings—March 17 and 18—due to the wartime difficulty of arranging a large hotel dinner that would enable all Dartmouth men in the New York area to meet at one time. The talks before the two New York groups will be informal and will be preceded by buffet suppers.

The alumni gathering in Chicago is scheduled to be held at the University Club on the evening of March 24. On the preceding evening President Hopkins will speak at a dinner meeting of class agents from the Chicago area, also at the University Club. The alumni gathering in Wash- ington, D. C., will be held at the Willard Hotel on the night of March 26.

President Hopkins' speaking engagements for April include meetings with Dartmouth class officers at the Dartmouth College Club, New York City, on April 3, and at the University Club, Boston, on April 10.

During the past month President Hopkins was guest of honor at a Boston alumni dinner on February 4, and on February 17 he addressed a joint session of the New Hampshire State Senate and House of Representatives, discussing post-war problems and the position of the United States in international affairs.

The editors of the MAGAZINE expect to publish the full text of President Hopkins' address, "Some Aspects of Planning for Post-War Peace," in the April issue.
