A beautiful souvenir card has come to the Secretary from Ted Leggett who, with Mrs. Leggett, is enjoying the Florida sunshine at Fort Lauderdale.

Bob Peck "souvenirs" from Palm Beach, Florida, where he and his new bride are basking in the sun and sipping orange juice. Would that all '98 men and their wives could join these two merry gentlemen.

It is always helpful and welcome to the Secretary and to the Class to have members add their sentiments about a classmate who has joined our fine members awaiting him on the other shore: Such sentiments as Harry Clark and Fred Lord have expressed will be much appreciated.

Harry Clark writes: "In memory, I have gone over what I knew about the life of Jim Aubey. The record seems to be perfectly clean. I never knew him to even attempt to seize on another person's rights, property or even credit. I never knew him to do or say an unkindness. He did his work without cheating or preying upon others. His daily life and contacts with others were quiet, clean and friendly. I have seen him very little in recent years, but his long record of safeguarding the health of Boston shows me, beyond doubt, that he has done his work well. I wish I had as clean a record."

Fred Lord writes: "And so it continues, a continual process of subtraction, and nothing else, one by one. But, as I heard more of the story of Israel Aubey, his earlier life, the advent of the Aliens, and as I thought of what he was and had been. I realized that it is a splendid story and a very heartening one in many respects. On his count and on that of the Aliens, who befriended 'Jim.' It's hard for Mrs. Aubey, but she has that much consolation in what has gone before and in their son, now in the armed forces."

'98 is very fortunate to have a man like Fred Lord resident in Hanover. Fred, on a bitter cold and blustering day, faithfully attended the commitment services held in the Hanover cemetery, where "Jim" was laid to rest.

Seth Pope attends educational gatherings in nearby Cape Cod towns as faithfully as when he was in the work himself.

Mrs. Montgomery has written a very appreciative note about the Montgomery reference in the March ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

There are two items the Secretary urges '98 to do, namely, be prompt and generous with Charlie Littlefield and send in a picture for the '98 column.

SON OF '98 Richard L. Patey, who is the son of ClassSecretary H. P. Patey, is training for theAir Corps.
